From the workers and neighbours of old Frog Island to the friends and families who join us today, the Foresters is part of Leicester’s local story. A familiar meeting place, shaped by generations of conversation, friendship and shared occasions.

The Foresters Arms name dates to 1840, when the pub was associated with the Foresters Insurance Society—a reminder that pubs have long been places where communities look out for one another. The distinctive frontage you see today was added in 1923.

We’re carrying that spirit forward: a welcoming community hub for a catch-up, a celebration, a match with friends or simply a seat at the bar. Whether you’ve known us for years or you’re walking in for the first time, there’s a place for you here.
